Interview Session With Wedding Coordinator – Chloe & Company Events
“The point of decorating, as far as I can tell, is to create the background for the best life you can have. Decoration can be life-enhancing. It can make dinner parties more fun, kids happier, relaxing easier, talks more intimate, guests at ease. And to think, decorating is often considered frivolous.
Moreover decorations at an event are necessary for setting the humor, orchestrating emotion and underscoring the importance of the event. A good decoration throws more light on the purpose of the event and the stature of people that would be invited.
Q&A with Chloe & Company Events
Today we’ve Chloe from Chloe’ and Company Events as our guest, Hope you’ll get answers to most of your questions.
• What’s the best tip you have for a couple planning a wedding?
This kind of goes with the above question as well. My biggest tip is for bride and grooms to do things because they want to. Go as extravagant as you want because you want to do it or go as simple because YOU want to. Everyone’s vision of their wedding is different and that’s what makes your wedding special. Don’t let somebody else make the decision for you.
• What don’t couples know about your business that they need to know?
My business is still pretty new as we have only been around for a few years. So, I’m trying to get our name more and more out there to brides. But we are a full service wedding and event company.
We specialize in day of coordination and intimate weddings. We also offer full decor packages and full service catering. We can help you plan all the details of your wedding day but also help with the engagement party, rehearsal dinner, upcoming birthdays and more.
• What questions should couples be asking that they don’t know to ask?
There’s so many questions out there and planning a wedding is not something most people do frequently. There are a number of questions that should be asked depending on the vendor.
• What is your best piece of advice for couples planning a wedding?
My best piece of advice for couples planning a wedding is book your vendors early and relax. You don’t want to be waiting for last minute to find a vendor. Find who you want and book them. Most vendors now are booking a year and some even two years out.
• What’s the most unusual wedding you’ve ever done?
One of my most unusual…. Well… This is a hard question. Because, over the past year there’s been a lot of “unusual” weddings happen due to the pandemic. But I would have to say that one of my most unusual ones was one I had that decided to bring Hawaii to Missouri. They had a destination wedding planned in Hawaii that due to travel bands they couldn’t travel there.
So instead of letting it get them down they decided to bring Hawaii to them. We had everyone in Hawaiian t-shirts and flower dresses, someone playing a steel guitar with Hawaiian music, fresh flower leis and We even did a traditional Hawaiian flower circle ceremony. It was absolutely beautiful and we brought as close as we could the beauty and elegance of Hawaii to a backyard near St Louis Missouri.
• What was the most memorable wedding you ever worked, and why?
This is going to sound super cliche but all my weddings have something about them that makes them memorable. I form friendships with all of my brides and I love to see their visions come to life.
I love the backyard barn weddings that feel similar to my own. But I love the elaborate elegance that some of the ones downtown bring. They’re all very unique and very special. They all stick out in their own ways.
