Flowers can be found everywhere at a wedding – from bouquets and boutonnieres to flower petals down the aisle at the ceremony, and even artistic floral creations for table centerpieces. Flowers are a key component of any wedding; they add extra color, texture, and feeling to your special day. Flowers are an important part of creating the feeling or setting the mood for your wedding with their beauty, color, elegance, and style. The use of flowers at a wedding is a form of expression and is also used as an element of design.
Keeping in mind the importance of flowers in a wedding, today we’ve Amy James from Petaled Pail with us
1. What common mistakes do you see couples making?
We like to say that there is no wrong way to move through the wedding planning process. However, I think the biggest thing we can mention here is a delay in reaching out to vendors. It’s more important now than ever to seek out your priority vendors early to ensure that you’re able to reserve your date.
2. What’s the best tip you have for a couple planning a wedding?
Our best tip for our couples is to think about the small details that describe you as a couple and incorporate them into your special day, whether it’s in the decorations, the theme, or the favors.
3. What don’t couples know about your business that they need to know?
We don’t offer packages because we love to focus on the details of the day and design with the couple in mind. We also have a wide variety of accompaniments and rentals that our full service brides have access to!
4. What questions should couples be asking that they don’t know to ask?
Ask all the budget questions. Most brides are new to planning and have no idea how much to allocate for their flowers or how to prioritize for them. We’re here to help with that!
5. What is your best piece of advice for couples planning a wedding?
Enjoy it! Try to plan in small increments so it doesn’t feel overwhelming.
6. What’s the most unusual wedding you ever did?
A moody, Halloween wedding. It was so much fun! We love it when brides give us the go ahead to be creative with their theme.
7. What was the most memorable wedding you ever worked, and why?
It’s hard to pick one, but we had one wedding in particular where we had a bride cry when she walked in the room because she was so overwhelmingly happy with how the designs turned out. We aren’t always around when our brides see the finished product, so seeing her reaction was one of the highlights of our career so far.
