So, you’ve found the one, and now you want to pull off the wedding of your dreams. But where do you start? Chances are that if this is your first rodeo, having an expert on hand will make all the difference in an otherwise stressful situation. A wedding photographer can actually help you organize and plan your wedding. Wedding photography is an art, a craft, and a business. While so many people are getting married these days that it’s almost commonplace, some clients want something more than the standard cookie-cutter wedding photos. They want to capture memories from the ceremony and reception that will be treasured for years to come. The photographs taken at your wedding will be with you forever, even after the person holding the camera becomes just another face in your family photo album.
We at Abell DJ Company are always trying to help you in making your great day more special. In this episode, we want to introduce Ashley Recar at Ashley’s Portrait Co. She is working as a wedding photographer. Photographers also play a vital role in weddings. Each role is an important aspect of a wedding and planning them before the special day is necessary. A photographer’s job is to capture the perfect shot, but that’s easier said than done. No one knows this better than a photographer themselves. In fact, many of them would say there’s no such thing as a perfect shot—it all depends on how you look at it. A great photographer can make even the most mundane things seem interesting and beautiful by adding context and perspective. Ashley Recar will guide us with her unique ideas about choosing the best photographer which will make the day even more special she will also answer the questions which must need to be kept in mind while planning the day.
• What common mistakes do you see couples making?
One of the most common mistakes I see couples making regarding wedding planning is having a large, over-the-top wedding, just because it is expected.
• What’s the best tip you have for a couple planning a wedding?
Do an engagement session with your wedding photographer! Even if someone else did it for you for free or gave you a session as a gift. Every photographer has a different style when it comes to posing, so think of it as practice with the person you’ve chosen to have document your Big Day. This is the main reason Ashley’s Portrait Co. includes an engagement session in all regular collections!
• What don’t couples know about your business that they need to know?
We are passionate about delivering a finished product! Every couple receives a custom lay-flat wedding album in addition to their digital collection.
• What questions should couples be asking that they don’t know to ask?
Ask us about timeline planning! We pride ourselves on helping couples navigate the tricky waters of coordinating their day so that it flows as naturally and is as stress-free as possible.
• What is your best piece of advice for couples planning a wedding?
Elaborating on my answer to question #1, my biggest tip would be to stay true to who you are as a couple. Don’t buy into “traditional” expectations of how a wedding should be. At the end of the day, your wedding should reflect your taste & personality! Who cares what everyone else thinks?
• What’s the most unusual wedding you ever did?
We recently did a nighttime wedding at the St. Louis Science Center complete with a star show!
• What was the most memorable wedding you ever worked on, and why?
One of our most memorable weddings would have to be a Viking-themed wedding that evolved into a full-blown mosh pit at the reception. There wasn’t a dull moment that day!
Conclusion: Of course, you want to be sure your photographer is a professional. But don’t just take it on their word for it—ask for proof! It’s the best way to ensure that your wedding photography will be handled with care and expertise. It’s only natural to be nervous about handing someone your most precious memories, but when you find the perfect wedding photographers like Ashely Recar, you’ll know it. On the day of your wedding, you’ll want to look back on photos that capture every detail. The professional photographer will have a clear vision of what they want to capture and how they’re going to get it. They know where the good light is at different times of day and how best to use it. They understand that certain things are better photographed at certain times: like a bride in her gown before she puts on makeup or when the sun’s rays have created some beautiful lighting effects in the scene We hope that this bog will help you to find out the perfect wedding photographer for your special event.
