1. What common mistakes do you see couples making?
The most common mistake I see couples making is not allotting time for the things they want to do before the ceremony. It’s become very popular to get a lot of pictures before the ceremony. That could include, reading letters in private to your future husband/wife behind a wall or door, first look with the father of the bride or first looks with the bridesmaids, flat lay pictures, dresses hanging up, etc.. Before your big day, I make sure we tweak the agenda to fit everything in and keep you on time while doing that.
2. What’s the best tip you have for a couple planning a wedding?
The best tip or advice that I could give to a couple planning their wedding would be… it’s your special day. No one else’s. You’re truly going to be happy when you do what you want to do.
3. What don’t couples know about your business that they need to know?
Most couples don’t know that JCP will be adding something to my business to help it grow and do more weddings. At this time, I cannot disclose the information until we get an official date of when it will be ready to hit the road.
4. What questions should couples be asking that they don’t know to ask?
Couples should be asking, when’s the best time to take photos? Should we be doing an outside ceremony in the middle of the day with no shade? Answer is… I’d prefer you not to.. your wedding party will be squinting in all of your pictures the whole time.
5. What your best piece of advice for couples planning a wedding?
Best piece of advice is to have fun and don’t sweat the small things.
6. What’s the most unusual wedding you ever did?
I went to Florida for a wedding and it wasn’t on the beach!
7. What was the most memorable wedding you ever worked, and why?
Most memorable was one that I did recently. The bride changed out of her dress and came out with this awesome white jumpsuit with rhinestones all over this outfit, white cowgirl hat and started dancing the night away. The dance floor was full the entire night! The bride was the life of the party.
