The elegant wedding reception of Katie and Caleb at the Maison du Lac in Pacific, was certainly a fairy tale one. The settings were romance with the beautiful, calm waters of the lake. The gentle glow from the lantern lights, and every other thing about the day planned to depict their love. The hosts presented an outdoor wedding with a vow exchange, reception, and dancing. Everything that would make the guests cherish the sweetest day until the very last moment.
A Venue That Feels Like a Fairytale
Located in the Midwest of the United States, Maison du Lac was the epitome of grace and surrounded by natural beauty. Due to the magnificent lakeside view, simplicity, and elegance of the place, this was the couple’s chosen venue. When the guests arrived, there was a sight of green vegetation and water surfaces, which gave a romantic feel to the occasion.
The reception and the elegant wedding were held on the beachside on the lawn. Within which there was an exquisite flower arrangement in an arc formation. As for flowers, white roses, peonies, and eucalyptus formed the arch that matched the beauty of the bride’s lace gown and groom’s macho navy blue suit. This gave them a privileged view of the couple as they took their vows in a rather serene environment.
An Elegant Wedding Filled with Emotion
As the elegant wedding took place, musicians softly played a hymn, setting the perfect tone for the event. The bridesmaid accompanied the bride to the elegant wedding cake section, where a violinist played Can’t Help Falling in Love, the official song of the bride and groom. The young man, overwhelmed with emotion, gazed at his bride with eyes welling with tears, touching everyone’s hearts.
Both of them have been very romantic and kind to each other. To the extent of the promises given became unique and intimate. The words used by the officiant were expressed love for each other. Love of travelling, and vision of what the future holds. Finally on the bright golden sun again, Katie and Caleb consummated their marriage through the first kiss of a married couple.
Cocktail Hour with Stunning Lake Views
After the elegant wedding, people went in what can be described as cocktails, which were beside the water. A live band provided soft jazz music to accompany the elegant wedding drinks. The luxurious pink-colored rosé mixed with elderflower and grapefruit called ‘The Blushing Bride’ and bourbon. Touched with the initials of the couple on the back of the drink stirrers. They were designed and given a personalization.
The menu consisted of several appetizers like mini bruschetta, bacon-wrapped scallops, and a cheese stand. Which was a favorite the most. This was especially suitable becaitthis enabled everyone get to view the beautiful scenery. During the night before getting into the reception hall.
An Elegant Wedding Reception Full of Energy and Elegance
The organizers held the event indoors in a luxurious, spacious hall adorned with chandeliers and candles. Creating a romantic and inviting atmosphere. The dinner service featured golden-rimmed dinner sets, ivory flowers, and specially engraved place cards for each guest.
A Thoughtfully Curated Dinner Menu
The couple also collaborated with catering service providers to curate a menu that reflected their tastes and preferences. During the occasion, the servers delighted guests with a delicious meal, including carefully selected dishes.
- Starter: Mixed serving of greens, candied pecans, and cranberries with balsamic glaze
- Choice of Appetizer Filet mignon with herbs and mashed potatoes with truffles or lemon-butter salmon with asparagus
- Dessert: An exquisite Fantasia four-tiered wedding cake rich with vanilla bean flavor, and red velvet. Salted caramel flavor topped with finesse by doilies of edible flowers.
Music That Kept the Dance Floor Alive
That is when the party started. Since everyone gathered around the table for dinner was all set to resume the celebration. For the first dance the bride and groom moved. The rhythm of the ‘You Are the Best Thing’ performed by Ray LaMontagne. They were friendly and happy, which adds a lot to the overall atmosphere of joy, appropriate for the evening.
Briefly after, music that filled the area became more uptempo comprising of the disco and current popular songs. The music ranged from old R&B music all the way to early 2000s pop. Which made the invited guests and audience engage in dancing. Picking one sweet moment. The lovely couple broke into magic on the dance floor performing “Uptown funk” and everyone was dancing to the tune.
Heartfelt Toasts and Laughter
The groom’s men danced intermittently, and then it was the turn of the best man. The maid of honor entertained everybody with nice speeches that made people both laugh and cry. Caleb’s brother narrated some funny incidence they shared in childhood. Katie’s best friend described a strong and lasting friendship between the two and attraction that was existing between them.
A Grand Elegant Wedding Send-Off Under the Stars
In the evening guests formed a tunnel with sparklers. For the couple and everyone requested ‘lights’ had to be turned on. In an elegant, loving manner, they engaged in their last dance for the night before taking a vintage car for good for the night.
