“One of the biggest mistakes couples make is waiting too long to book their vendors,” Zoe said. “You might have the perfect venue picked, but photographers, videographers, coordinators, and florists book up fast—especially for prime months like May, June, September, and October.”
She recommends reaching out to your top-choice vendors as early as possible—9 to 12 months in advance, or even earlier, to ensure availability.
What’s Your Top Tip for Hiring a Wedding Photographer?
“Photography is incredibly subjective,” she explained. “That’s why I always tell couples to look through my website and social media. My style is classic and timeless, and I blog all of my weddings so clients know exactly what to expect.”

“Many couples don’t think to ask how long a photographer has been in the business,” she said. “While new photographers can be talented, experience matters when timelines get tight or unexpected issues pop up.”

“Don’t stress over the little things,” she shared. “Even if not everything goes exactly to plan, what truly matters is that you’re marrying the love of your life. Keep that as your focus.”

Zoe once captured a Halloween-themed wedding—and absolutely loved it. “It was so creative and fun—definitely one of the coolest weddings I’ve ever photographed.”

“A destination wedding in Miami near the Everglades really stands out. The scenery was stunning, the weather was perfect, and the couple was so full of joy. Everything about it just clicked—the light, the mood, the energy. I’ll never forget it.”
